I saw The Favourite, but it never even occurred to me that Queen Anne was fat (either in portrayal or in real life.) That is until my friend Ross brought this article by Anna Leszkiewicz in the New Statesman to my attention. Now I can’t stop thinking about this fat queen and the mythology of fat people throughout history.
